HOW NJTMA USES INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU: This site does not collect personally identifiable information about individuals or companies except when we specifically ask for such information and you knowingly provide it. If we ask for information, we will NOT share it with anyone else unless we advise you that this may occur.
If you submit personal information, it will be used by the NJTMA for internal business purposes, generally to fulfill your request. We may use it for internal marketing or promotional purposes.
In certain circumstances, such as if you use a credit card to pay for an order, we may share your personally identifiable information with other companies with which we conduct business. For example, we sometimes rely on outside companies to provide website hosting or database services to you. In such cases, we need to provide your personally identifiable information to them. If you choose to purchase items through our secure "commerce" site and provide credit card information, we will forward your information to third parties for credit card processing and order fulfillment. While NJTMA will seek to require such third parties to follow appropriate privacy policies and will not authorize them to use this information except for the express purpose for which it was provided, NJTMA cannot absolutely control such third-party companies, and we cannot bear any responsibility for any actions or policies of any third parties contrary to our wishes.
Except for the purposes outlined above, we do not provide, sell or lease your personally identifiable information to any third parties, unless otherwise stated at the time the information is collected. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these policies, please e-mail us at njtma@njtma.com before submitting any information.
SECURITY WARNING: Information transmitted from your computer to another computer via the internet (whether through our site or any other) may pass through many intermediate computers before reaching the intended recipient. At any of these points, unencrypted information could be viewed or stored. CONSIDER INFORMATION SENT OVER THE INTERNET AS YOU CONSIDER POST CARDS. YOU SHOULD NOT TRANSMIT ANY INFORMATION THAT YOU WOULD NOT WANT OTHERS TO READ, unless you are logged onto a SECURE (encrypted) web page. You can tell that the data being transmitted to you, or which you are transmitting, is being encrypted by both computers (and is therefore unreadable by others) by looking at the "URL" address. An encrypted site address will begin https:// instead of http://.
We may collect anonymous, aggregated data (such as how many times a page is viewed) and use it for internal market research and statistical purposes.
Finally, you should be aware that when you voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information (e.g., your first and last name, address, e-mail address, etc.) on the forms or in the chat areas of this or any other website, that information can be collected and used by others unrelated to the operation of our website, and may result in unsolicited messages from other site users or parties over which the NJTMA has no control.
"Cookies:" At present, the NJTMA site does not issue "cookies" or attempt to record them on your computer. Cookies are short pieces of computer code that identify your computer to another computer. They can be used to track your visits, what pages you access, any preferences you may have indicated to the website. These "tracking" uses can either be benign and related to customizing the website to your preferences, or they can be used for more aggressive commercial or other purposes. Your browser has settings you can set to allow, not allow, or prompt you when a cookie is issued by a host computer to your computer. However, as noted above, the NJTMA site does not presently use such code.
Note that certain links within our website will link your computer to other websites which may use cookies. We have no control over these other websites, so we cannot advise you in advance whether they do or do not use cookies. We do, however, to the best of our abilities, link you only to legitimate and trustworthy sites, such as to our medical provider network or prescription network. If you link from one of these external sites to a third external site, we cannot vouch for that "third party" site.
Any form or questionnaire on our site that requests personal information from you will disclose to you why that information is requested and how it will be used. Questions should be directed to njtma@njtma.com.
